Discovering New Heights Therapy is dedicated in providing quality therapeutic services for children with cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular disorders. Our caring staff is specially trained in Intensive Pediatric Physical Therapy using the Therasuit Method of treatment.
Our mission is to provide the most effective therapy available in a nurturing environment where children can reach their full potential. Our focus is on strength training, motor planning, balance, endurance, and coordination. In additional to Intensive Physical Therapy we also offer modified programs and traditional physical and occupational therapies.
About us... The founders of Discovering New Heights are parents of a child with cerebral palsy. After many years of traditional PT and OT they decided to try Intensive Physical Therapy. Their first experience was in 2003 and were amazed to see that after two weeks of Intensive Physical Therapy their daughter was standing taller with less flexion in her hips and knees. Her range of motion improved dramatically and greater independence was seen in transfers. For three years they continued to travel out of state for these services because of the great improvements their daughter consistently demonstrated. The benefits of intensive therapy and the milestones reached by their daughter have inspired them to bring this service to Connecticut. As parents we know that all children have great potential to improve their quality of life. By providing parents with information and choices that really make a difference, we enable children to reach for the stars and discover new heights.
