Hippotherapy
Hippotherapy, also known as therapeutic horseback riding, is the use of a horseback riding to facilitate therapy. It addresses core strength and trunk control. Horseback riding simulates the human gait pattern and provides dynamic balance challenges to the individual’s postural system. Riders learn balance, coordination and self-assurance while receiving therapeutic muscle stimulation. As a result of lessons, poise, posture, strength and flexibility improve.
